As with any business enterprise, Intercom Data Network (IDN) started as a dream. It is a business venture whose conception was brought into being as both a solution to obstacles observed and the exploration of opportunities present at the time in this industry worldwide.

IDN started operating it's services to the general public in October 1999, when it took on board their first Internet subscriber. It is also proud to be able to state that the company is wholly owned by individuals who are Ghanaians or of Ghanaian descent. The company's vision as contained in its corporate mission statement states out very clearly both the social and business intentions of the company's existence. These are clearly shown through activities such as our continuous drive to implement and maintain a standard that is 'world class' in the area of customer and technical support which has been followed with the introduction and development of the 'IDN Attachment Programme' the 'IDN Community Action Project' and more recently the 'IDN Symbolic' advertising campaign and competition.
